Breaking News: HOB DJ Shows Axed!

Several sources have informed Save Pleasure Island Blog today that the hugely popular Sunday night "SIN" (Service Industry Night) at House of Blues is being axed!  The sources tell us that the night, which has been going down for nearly 15 years, will have its last run on October 4th.  The increasingly popular "Rewind Wednesdays" is also being cancelled.

Typical Sunday night crowd at HOB. What do both cancelled nights have in common?  They are both DJ/Dance events that draw younger patrons, a demographic that perhaps is not wanted down there.  We can only speculate until we learn more.

Since HOB is DTD in CA, could HOB also be the new DS at WDW ?

This would be a great opportunity for another venue to attract and capture the HOB SIN crowd.

It's not speculation. It's over / done / stick a fork in it!

DISNEY HATES TEENS! THEY HATE DRINKING TEENS
THEY DO NOT WANT FUN, THEY WANT YOU IN BED AT 10pm at night, so you can SPEND MONEY IN THE THEME PARKS! They don't want "concerts" they don't want "media attention" they don't want "rapes" in the parking lot. They want cuddle stuffed mickey plush being sold on every gift shop and happy go lucky mom's with there daughters, singing "LET IT GO!" all day long.

If I-Drive Orlando could get its act together, this is a huge gift for them

I would just like to point out that, while Rewind Wednesday's ends after the aforementioned 10/4 date in the article, there is still a SIN night scheduled 10/25 and 11/22... possibly reducing to only once per month?

And @Ken... I agree. Somewhere like BB Kings, which is similar to HOB, would seem conducive to clube nights every now and then.

Nick, thanks for the update. My sources were not aware of the latter dates.

71 & Ken, you are correct but I can't think of any place large enough. I think the ideal place would be The Groove which is already open, IS large enough and is generally dead on Sunday nights.
