Just returning from tonight's White Hot Party in the Spinnaker Lounge here on board Norwegian Gem. I think I've reported on this party before which takes place once on each NCL cruise. The last time out of Miami it was a pool party; this time it was a Pleasure Island party if there ever was one! Spinnaker is an alernate party venue on many NCL ships and is actually larger than Bliss Ultra Lounge. The music began as mostly 70's disco and the dance floor stayed packed...and hot. DJ Delite played one 8TRAX hit after another and it was awesome! He eventually played one Mannequins dance song after another. Traditional house heads would not have liked it but those that enjoy what is now called "Dance" would have have loved it In about 40 cruises I've been on, this may be the best DJ I've encountered. Best of all, not a single Hip Hop song all night!

That's one thing about Disney cruises...the ship is all in bed by midnight. Unless you are with 300 other Disboards members, then it's a party all night LOL
Hey Zule! I'm told the average age on this saiing is 56 and that certainly has limited the number of people in the clubs every night. That is always the risk on a 7-night cruise. And of course Disney and their families. But I do recall having lots of fun at Wavebands on Disney Wonder!
oh look the Dance floor looks like Mannequins dance floor (used to) i am sure it doesn't spin! LAME!
No, the dance floor did not spin but if you got some good drinks, it appeared to spin nonetheless!
