PI Update: Ticket Booth #1Torn Down

Save Pleasure Island roving reporter Thommy reports that the original Pleasure Island ticket booth has been torn down. This was the glass booth (not pictured) that was over near Fulton's Crab House and T-Rex, adjacent the #1 bridge to the island. The booth had not been used for PI ticket sales since the island went ungated. Last year the ticket booth on the West Side became the ticket sales location for the new tethered balloon ride; the two ticket booths made out of those train cars from the old Fort Wilderness Railroad (pictured below) remain standing at the main island entrance.

I did notice that last night, also the "Comedy Warehouse" sign above the blocked doors by "Celebrate Tonight" has finally been removed. I guess this is it :-\

Garry, I think that sign came down a number of months ago, sometime after they began Celebrate Tonight. What is odd is that the Comedy Warehouse sign on the SIDE of that building, the side facing 8TRAX, is still up there.

What a waste of a great entertainment complex. KingBob, is Kevin L. still VP of DownTown Disney?

My mistake...I guess the beers (money NOT spent at DTD) were messing with my head (re: Comedy Warehouse signs)

Anon, Lansberry is out. He was originally transferred to Animal Kingdom and I'm not sure where he is now; I think ESPN Wide World of Sports.

Garry, good to hear from you! See you out at ADH soon.

Lansberry got promoted to Senior VP of "Worldwide Travel Operations" earlier this year.

Keith Bradford (former VP of "Operating Participants" [aka the department which handles agreements with third-party vendors operating at WDW]) is now over DTD. Hmmmm...
