A reminder that one of the world's top DJ's, Paul Oakenfold (GB) performs this coming Saturday night at Club Firestone Live. The club is located at 578 N. Orange Avenue downtown. It's rare for Orlando to get the biggest DJ's on a Saturday night; they usually hit the large cities on weekend nights. But Orlando continues to prove that it can show up for large events. Oakenfold was here a little over a year ago at the much-smaller ICON. DJ Tiesto (NL) performed at Hard Rock Live in 2008 but upgraded to UCF Arena in 2009. Oakie is sure to sellout Firestone. Admission is $22 in advance at Ticketmaster but all their fees really drive up the price. The door price is $25 and that may be a better deal as long as you arrive early enough to avoid the sellout.

Save Pleasure Island regulars would rather watch grass grow than get updated on this stuff. Having said that, it's your blog KingBob, so we take the good with the bad.

Anonymous, if the only thing posted on the Blog were the reports from PI, there wouldn't be very many articles. But when PI was announced to be closing, people kept asking me where I was going to be hanging out instead. So the Blog also reports on other Club and DJ options. There just ain't a lot of grass growing on Pleasure Island!
I think we should all bring RIP flowers and place them around Mannequins.......
